Proposed Bylaw Amendments – For Member Review
The following bylaw amendments have been proposed by the ACA Bridgeland Fundraising Society Board. These are draft changes intended to strengthen and clarify certain sections of our existing bylaws. They have not yet been filed or approved.
As required under the Alberta Societies Act, members will have the opportunity to review these changes in advance. These proposed amendments will be formally presented and voted on at a future Special Meeting of Members, to be scheduled in accordance with our notice requirements.

CCAEFS BOARD MEMBERS 2026/2027

Hi, my name is Jaya Sekhon. I have been a part of the ACA family since the first year we launched this remarkable school. I’m an avid volunteer, spending many hours in the library, on field trips and supporting fundraising in the background with volunteering at school events. My family has donated to infirmary, school staff lounge, and we’ve donated to the school library collection. My main focus is to continue strongly with fundraising money for the school so our kids can have an amazing learning experience and environment that is fun and safe. I bring a breadth of volunteer experience, positive attitude and a work well with all different types of people from different walks of life. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read my bio and supporting us as we move forward in our journey to growing our community. I am very eager and looking forward to collaborating with you all!

Scott previously served as Treasurer in an interim capacity, using his financial expertise to support ACA Bridgeland’s fundraising initiatives. With a strong background in finance and a passion for community involvement, Scott is excited to step into his role as Vice President, continuing to help drive impactful initiatives that benefit the school and its families.

Mercy is passionate about supporting the school’s growth and success. She now brings her experience and commitment to her role as Treasurer, helping ensure smooth and effective board and financial operations.

Maria is an experienced strategist and business consultant. She served as Treasurer on the pioneering school council executive at CCA for two years. With two children currently at CCA, she brings her experience and passion for fostering community, building accountability, and driving change to the CCAEFS.

Maddie Selby is a freelance designer with an architectural background. She has been a volunteer at Calgary Classical Academy Bridgeland since it first opened its doors in 2022. Her heart belongs to art, stationery, anime, and food. She strives to plan fundraising campaigns that bring joyful experiences to the student and parent communities.

Sophie brings expertise in branding, storytelling, and community engagement. With a background in creative tech and strategic communications, she is passionate about keeping families connected and informed while supporting fundraising initiatives that enrich the school community. She has been a volunteer at ACA Bridgeland since it opened it’s doors in 2022. She currently has two children in ACA.

Krystle Wittevrongel is a collaborative, community-minded leader who cares deeply about creating welcoming and meaningful opportunities for families to be involved in school life. With a background in public policy and community outreach, she has spent over a decade bringing people together around shared goals and ensuring transparent, inclusive decision-making.
Krystle has long been involved in education- and youth-focused volunteer work, including board and mentoring roles supporting immigrant and ethnocultural children and youth. She is excited to contribute her relationship-building, communication, and teamwork skills to thoughtful fundraising initiatives that directly enrich students’ learning and strengthen the school community.

I currently have two sons attending Bridgeland campus. I was a part of the library committee last year. I was also heavily involved in volunteering for fun lunches as well as any fundraising events held through out the year. I believe my transition as secretary of the Fundraising Society would allow me be more involved in the back end process of things. I am excited to be a part of the team that is helping build the foundation of our community in way that directly benefits our students.
